In 2011, the original Monarchs were released. They quickly became one of the best-selling decks, setting a new standard for luxury playing cards. Shortly after, the red edition followed, now reimagined with a much more vivid and vibrant red box.

The Red Monarchs are made in the USA with FSC-certified paper sourced from sustainable forests. Printed on Q1 quality paper with our exclusive Premium 909 finish. "The feel is simply incredible."

Years of refining the world’s best deck have finally led to a result better than anyone could imagine. The back design has been treated with a vibrant and dramatic red tone. For the tuck case, soft-touch paper was used, darkened slightly to maintain the vibrancy of the red hue.

On the card backs, snakes twist around a sword and tree. Along the edges are the words: "de duobus malis, minus est semper eligendum" ("Of two evils, the lesser must always be chosen").
