You take out a brass nut from your pocket and hand out for examination. At the same time a string is also taken out and examined. The string is threaded through the nut. The former is held by a spectator at both ends and covered by a hanky. You put your hand under the hanky and mysteriously take out the nut. Everything can again be examined.
