Invite a member from the audience to join you on stage and have them sit in a chair. Gently place a sleek tube atop their head. At this point, drop a lit match inside: right away, spectacular flames will burst from the top of the tube, creating a moment of pure astonishment and wonder.

By opening the small hatch on the front of the tube, you can ask the participant - completely unaware of the effect happening - if everything is going alright. Their reaction, along with the situation, will trigger laughter and amusement in the crowd.

Close the hatch and, to wrap up the illusion, place the lid on the top of the tube: the flames will instantly go out. Remove the tube and free the participant, who, of course, will have experienced no harm. Applause is bound to follow!
